ATEX IBC Heating jacket - 1700 W

This 1700 W IBC heating jacket is the hazardous-area heating jacket for IBCs. This ATEX and IECEx Zone 1 and 2 rated jacket uses a completely new and proprietary design, and is suitable for any IBC tank, from 660 to 1500 litres.

Materials used

It is constructed with custom elastomer and silicone-coated glass cloth materials, plus high-density fibreglass insulation. The heating medium uses a patented technology based on carbon-rich, semiconducting, positive-temperature-coefficient membranes. Safe operating conditions are maintained even in the presence of potentially explosive gases.

Health and safety

• This heating jacket is ATEX II 2 G Ex e II T3 certified, compliant with Zone 1 and 2 requirements.
• Installation and commissioning must be carried out by a qualified person, in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions and the ATEX regulations applicable on site.
• It is advised that power to the heater jacket be disconnected when the container is either empty or being filled, or upon installation or removal of the heater itself.
• It is recommended that the unit be operated in a dry environment with the container vented to avoid build-up of internal pressure.
